The Project
For this project, we were tasked with designing a lab to prove that our body maintains homeostasis. After creating a lab report, we made a poster to present at a poster session in class. Our group chose to focus on how the body maintains fluid levels. To do this, we created a lab to measure how quickly the body expels excess water.

Biology
Homeostasis refers to the body's tendency to maintain balance. This equilibrium is required in all of the body's systems, which require certain amounts of water, heat, and nutrients. Our kidneys achieve this equilibrium with our water levels by expelling excess water through urination.
Reflection
I did a good job collaborating with my group on this project. This mainly shows in our lab report, where everyone had an equal part writing it. I also did well during the poster session. I felt that I had fully understood the concepts I was explaining to my classmates.
I still need to work on preparing for presentations. While I understood the material for the poster session, my presentation felt a little too disorganized. Another thing I need to work on is not fidgeting during presentations. I did this a lot while presenting my poster, and it looks unprofessional.

I worked on this project with Bryce Bernales, Rachel Lobl, and Robert Orta.
